August 7th -- Church Stretton, Shropshire
A lovely sunny day with a stiff breeze on the tops

The C walk set out to the bottom of Carding Mill Valley then followed the permissive path and road to Light Spout Waterfall and Light Spout Hollow. Then onto Long Mynd itself and on to Shooting Box and the side of Pole Bank. Returning to Church Stretton through Rectory wood & Fields, past the folly, icehouse and reservoir, into the village proper, ending up at the Bucks Head public house.

Rick's B walkers took an anticlockwise circular route from Church Stretton starting with a climb up Carding Mill Valley, then heading SW to Pole Bank. After that to Round Hill then via Little Stretton and through woods onto a B road and back into Church Stretton. Roger took a second B group clockwise round the same route.
Joint B lunch party

The A walk were dropped a mile or so north of Church Stretton and struck out up and over the rather oddly and inappropriately named The Wilderness. Then over Hoar Edge to the northern tip of the Lawley. We then climbed The Lawley, having lunch just over the summit. Then dropped down to Comley, and up over the magnificent Caer Caradoc.
